Humane Society Opens North Fulton Shelter in Alpharetta

Atlanta Humane Society celebrates opening of Mansell campus with ribbon cutting, festivities.

The Atlanta Humane Society opened it newest campus in Alpharetta on Saturday.

The 32,000 square foot facility is located on seven acres just off of Mansell Road.Β  The campus contains a 1,600 square foot clinic, four 1/4 acre enclosed free runs, 64 dog kennels, 32 puppie suites, 72 cat/kitten condos, and four free roam rooms for cats. In total, the facility can handle between 64-138 dogs and 104-176 cats.

Local mayors Jere Wood of Roswell, Arthur Letchas of Alpharetta, mayor-elect David Belle Isle of Alpharetta, and Joe Lockwood of Milton. as well as State Sen. John ALbers and U.S. Rep. Tom Price attended the grand opening.
