Alpharetta Student Wins Servant Leadership Scholarship

Brian Davis, a graduate of , received the John Hain Memorial Scholarship from the Windward Rotary Club.

Davis read the essay on servant leadership that helped him win the $1,000 scholarship to a college of his choice.

The scholarship was created in honor of the late John Hain, a charter member of the Rotary Club, whose wife, Joie Hain, said was a model of servant leadership.

The students who applied for the scholarship had to provide an official sealed transcript of their school records, a letter of recommendation and a resume, "all the things that young men and young ladies who are going to be going out into the world need to be looking at providing," Joie Hain, charter president of the club, said.
