All skill levels are welcome, and many cyclists have been training for months for the longer routes.

The inaugural ride in 2009 saw more than 300 registered riders and raised almost $150,000 for local programs. The ride in 2010 doubled to 600 registered riders and raised nearly $300,000. Each rider has to commit to raising at least $150 to participate (except for the 5K).
