Rain Won't Stop Alpharetta's Fireworks Show on July 4th

Fireworks will soar over Alpharetta's Wills Park rain or shine starting at dusk on Thursday, July 4. Before the fireworks show, children–and adults–can enjoy a swim at the City Pool, children's entertainment, bands and food from various vendors.

The City of Alpharetta Recreation and Parks Department will provide free entertainment such as: inflatable’s, face painting, and Games 2 U from 6-9 p.m. on the lawn behind the Alpharetta Community Center (175 Roswell Street). 

Food vendors such as Mac the Cheese Truck, The Fry Guy, Dippin’ Dots, Yum Yum Cupcakes, Great American Cookie Company, Shane’s Rib Shack, The Bubble Tea Truck, S & J Woodfire Pizza, Seven Seas Mediterranean Café, Kona Ice, Menchie’s Windward, Repicci’s Italian Ice, Good Eats Concession, & Granny’s Old Fashioned Lemonade will also be present. But bring cash, as that's all food vendors will accept.

The Alpharetta City Band will perform beginning at 6 p.m. on the event lawn followed by a local band, Serious Business.

Families are also invited to spend the day at the Alpharetta City Pool at Wills Park. Kids will enjoy playing in the new Splash Zone and showing off their diving skills on one of three diving boards.  The pool will be open to the public from noon to 9 p.m. Concessions at the pool will be sold by the Alpharetta Golden Age Club. General pool admission is $3 per person.

In case of inclement weather, some activities may be delayed or canceled.  However, fireworks will be shot regardless of the weather conditions.

Per City ordinance, all City of Alpharetta parks are tobacco-free and alcohol-free.  To obtain information on the City of Alpharetta’s July 4th grill use policy please refer to the City of Alpharetta website. Handicap parking is available near Wacky World Playground. Personal fireworks are not permitted.  Old Milton Parkway adjacent to Wills Park will close when parking lots are full.
