Do You Love Your Farmers Market?

Pledge your support, get a bumper sticker.

With the impending arrival of summer comes farmers markets and a chance for residents to buy fresh goods grown locally.

In Alpharetta, the weekly Downtown Farmers Market runs through Oct. 12.

Nearby, Johns Creek and Roswell also host weekly farmers markets.

For the fifth year, the American Farmland Trust is hosting an "I Love My Farmers Market Celebration" to raise awareness for struggling farmers.

The event encourages consumers to pledge online to spend $10 at a local farmers market, with a goal of collecting $1 million in pledges by Sept. 9. The first time a consumer pledges, they will receive a free "No Farms No Food" bumper sticker.
