If you haven't made plans yet for July 4, here's something close to home.
Celebrate Independence Day with family and friends at Wills Park on Wednesday, July 4. The City of Alpharetta Recreation and Parks Department will provide free entertainment such as: inflatables, face painting, and Games 2 U from 5 to 8 p.m. on the lawn behind the Alpharetta Community Center, 175 Roswell Street, Alpharetta.
Food vendors will be located throughout the park, including: Jim N Nick’s, The Pup Truck, Wally’s Kettle Treats, Parad-Ice Delights, S & J Woodfire Pizza, Seven Seas Mediterranean Café, Kona Ice, Menchie’s Windward, Repicci’s Italian Ice, Good Eats Concession, and Granny’s Old Fashioned Lemonade.
The Alpharetta City Band will perform on the lawn behind the Alpharetta Community Center beginning at 6 p.m., followed by Serious Business, a local band that plays country and classic rock. The fireworks display begins at dusk.
In case of inclement weather, some activities may be delayed or canceled. However, fireworks will be shot regardless of the weather conditions. Per city ordinance, all city of Alpharetta parks are tobacco-free and alcohol-free.

Handicap parking is available near Wacky World Playground. Personal fireworks are not permitted. Old Milton Parkway adjacent to Wills Park will close when parking lots are full. City of Alpharetta Public Safety personnel will be patrolling the park throughout the day to ensure the safety of all.
