Alpharetta Swimmers Bring Home State Medals

The select summer swim program based out of Wills Park had top finishers in freestyle, breaststroke and relays.

The City of Alpharetta State Swim Team (C.O.A.S.T.) had a hugely successful weekend at the Georgia Recreation and Parks State Swim Meet on July 27 and 28. C.O.A.S.T. finished the weekend with several big wins while representing Alpharetta.

Top Finishers

  • Jay Wellman:  1st 50 freestyle, 3rd 50 butterfly
  • Sam Swanson: 1st 50 freestyle, 3rd 50 butterfly
  • Sarah Chernik: 1st 25 butterfly, 2nd 20 freestyle
  • Tatum Smith:   3rd 100 freestyle, 2nd medley relay, 3rd 50 freestyle, 3rd freestyle relay                 
  • Rachel Saxon-3rd 25 breaststroke
  • Boris Jerkovic: 2nd 50 breaststroke, 2nd 100 IM                 
  • Devon Scalise:  3rd freestyle relay
  • Carly Winters-3rd 50 breaststroke, 2nd medley relay
  • Jack Nickel-3rd 50 breaststroke
  • Kayla Winters-3rd 25 breaststroke
  • Karsen McMahon-2nd medley relay, 3rd freestyle relay
  • Mary Lou-2nd medley relay, 3rd freestyle relay

C.O.A.S.T. is a select summer swim program sponsored by the City of Alpharetta Recreation and Parks Department and is based out of .  The team consists of local swimmers age 7 to 18 years.
