The winner-take-all soccer war set for Tuesday between the United States and Belgium has a casualty already: Belgian waffles.
The 24-hour diner chain does not offer Belgian waffles on its menu, because that would be un-American, says the newspaper, and it's urging U.S. fans to boycott the waffles leading up to Tuesday's game.
The chain tweeted: “We don't believe in Belgium waffles.”

U.S. striker Jozy Altidore, who left the June 16 game against Ghana early with a hamstring injury, is ready to play, reports ESPN.
The game begins at 4 p.m. ET Tuesday and will be carried on ESPN.
