Will Gusts of Wind Affect Outcome of Tonight's Gridiron Action?

Alpharetta hosts West Forsyth in a matchup with regional importance.

Wind could be a factor in tonight's football games, especially for teams who rely on long passes and their kicking game.

The National Weather Service predicts wind gusts close to 22 mph at game time on Sept. 30, dropping to 18 or 19 mph by game's end. The wind when it's not gusting will be between 15 and 11 mph.

That, combined with falling temperatures, will make many fans glad that they've brought along a jacket toward the end of the game. The temperature will fall from the high 60s at the opening kickoff to the mid-50s when the final whistle is blown.
