Troutt's 4 For 4 Night Spurs Alpharetta To Victory Over Milton

Alpharetta Sophomore Evan Troutt went 4 for 4 at the plate with 2 stolen bases and scored 3 runs to lead Alpharetta to an 11-1 victory over Milton.

Alpharetta sophomore Evan Troutt turned in a stellar performance, going 4 for 4 with 2 singles, 2 doubles, 2 stolen bases and 3 runs scored to lead the Raiders (7-5) to an 11-1 win over Milton Thursday night.

"I think I just had a good approach at the plate, just hit the ball good," Troutt said.  "I think we're picking up the slack.  We're starting to come around from what we were at the beginning."

The Raiders took control of the game right from the start when senior Kenneth Reynolds singled and stole second base.  Cody Carpenter and Cameron Stadelle both doubled, then Troutt singled and stole second base.  Then senior pitcher Dimitri Kourtis singled Troutt home and the Raiders were up 4-0 in the top of the first.

That first inning would set the tone for the rest of the game. In the top of the second with two men on, Troutt doubled in two runs. With one man on in the top of the fourth, Troutt once again doubled in another run, and later scored off a Milton error, one of four errors committed by the Eagles.

Troutt continued his good work at the plate at the start of the sixth, getting his fourth hit of the night.  Dimitri Kourtis then singled, scoring Troutt for the Raiders' 11th and final run.
