Summer is the Time to Register for Winter Basketball

Registration for the winter 2012-2013 youth basketball season for boys and girls begins on Tuesday, Aug. 14 for city residents.

Open registration begins Aug. 28. Registration continues through Sept. 7, while space is available.  

• 6 to 15 years old
• $100 for Alpharetta residents
• $175 for non-residents
• Register online. (Online customer account required to register online.)

When you’re playing on a team and trying to sink a basket from the 3-point line, you need skills, motivation and teamwork to make the shot, according to the Alpharetta Recreation and Parks Department. Our program provides this to players.

Volunteer coaching opportunities may be available to qualified adults. All potential coaching candidates must successfully complete the City’s criminal background check. Candidates are screened to ensure adequate knowledge in the sport in which they are applying to coach. Training opportunities may also be available.
