Raiders Compete in National Football Tournament

The Alpharetta High School team went 9-2 in the southeast qualifier to earn the invitation to the National Select 7 on 7 Championship.

The Alpharetta Raiders are playing in the National Select 7 on 7 Championship after competing with 31 other high school football teams from the southeast in the qualifying tournament. 

The Raiders dominated the tournament and went 9-2, with wins over Dutchtown, Cartersville, Mays, Hillgrove, Glen Hills, Duluth, Jackson County, Eastside (SC) and Cherokee.  

The Raiders ended up in the final four in the tournament. That gained the Raiders an invitation to play in the National Select 7 on 7 National Championship in Hoover, AL to compete against 31 other teams from across the country. The tournament will take place July 24-26.

"I'm just so proud of how the boys competed in the qualifying event," said Raider Head Coach Jason Dukes. "They played against the top teams in the southeast and did very well," Dukes said.  

Senior Raider wide receiver Daniel Clements was named the "Top Wide Receiver" of all the receivers from the 32 teams who competed in the qualifying event last weekend.
