With teammates Jalen Simmons (142 total yards, three TDs) and Joshua Dobbs (26 of 45, 331 yards, two TDs) continuing to put up big stats during Alpharetta's 4-1 start to the season, it may be easy to overlook other top performers.

Receiver Carlos Burse is one of the them. He had another standout game with three receptions for 99 yards in Friday's 40-17 win over Northview. In five games, Burse has 27 receptions for 445 yards and four touchdowns.

Other top performers

Jalen Simmons: Rushed 15 times for 67 yards, caught six passes for 75 yards and scored three touchdowns.

Joshua Dobbs: Completed 26 of 45 for 331 yards and two touchdowns.

Daniel Clements: had 5 catches for 35 yards and a touchdown

Carlos Burse: had 3 catches for 99 yards and a touchdown

Nathan Mustaffa: had seven tackles with four solo and three assists

Mark Reeves: had six tackles with four solo and two assists and one tackle for a oss

Bailey Miller, quarterback: Completed 10 of 24 passes for 150 yards and one touchdown in a 22-13 loss to Pace Academy.

Devon Schmitt, receiver: Five catches for 113 yards and one TD.

Tarez Miller, running back: Had  29 carries for 120 yards and 1 TD

Note: Milton had a bye and will play Centennial on Thursday night on the Channel 2 Game of the Week.
