Pace Academy Gets Past King's Ridge 22-13

Tigers fall to 3-2 with the close decision.

fell to 3-2 overall with a 22-13 loss at Pace Academy Friday night.

The Tigers were within striking distance the entire way, trailing 3-0 after the first quarter, 10-7 at half, and 16-7 after three quarters.

“This one was a very tough loss for the team because they played very hard and never quit,” King’s Ridge Head Coach Jeff Pickren said. “These young men left it all on the field and just came up short.”

King's Ridge quarterback Bailey Miller completed 10 of 24 passes for 150 yards and a touchdown. Senior receiver Devon Schmitt had five receptions for 113 yards and a TD. Freshman running back Tarez Miller had 120 yards and a touchdown on 29 carries.
 
King's Ridge has a bye week before taking on Wesleyan at home.
