North Fulton Hosts SELC Lacrosse Tournament
College lacrosse teams from across the southeast participate
On Saturday, Northview High School provided the venue for the 2011 Southeastern Lacrosse Conference tournament. The SELC is one of ten nationwide conferences which make up the Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Association.
The Division I and II semifinal games were played on Saturday. In Division I, the Clemson Tigers defeated the Virginia Tech Hokies, 10-8. In the second Division I semifinal game, Florida State University won against the University of Central Florida Knights, 14-10.
In Division II, the Kennesaw State University Owls lost to the Savannah College of Art and Design, 13-2; while Elon University defeated UNC-Charlotte, 26-4.

On Sunday the championship games will pit Clemson against Florida State in Division I at 3 p.m. at Northview, and Elon against the Savannah College of Art and Design in Division II. The winners in both divisions will advance to the MCLA National Championship tournament to be held in Denver, Colorado in May.
