The Milton Eagles demonstrated again why they're the number one high school boy's basketball team in the state, easily handling the Roswell Hornets on Friday, 82-52.
The Eagles opened a 23-9 lead over the Hornets at the end of the first quarter and increased it to 46-21 at half time. Milton continued to increase the spread, closing the third period with the score at 65-30.
Both Milton and Roswell now enter the AAAAA playoffs. Roswell finished the regular season at 12-12 and 6-5 in Region 6AAAAA. Milton finished 23-2 overall and 12-0 in the region.
