Milton Girls Advance in Regional Basketball Playoffs

Eagles easily handle North Forsyth as Region 6-AAAAA tournament begins.

The Milton High girls basketball team opened regional playoffs with an easy victory over the North Forsyth High Raiders Tuesday night.

The Eagles, playing in their home gym, were up 20-3 by the end of the first quarter. The Raiders only managed 23 points against Milton. The Eagles were able to use greater height, speed and depth to win.

Milton was outscored 8-0 in the final quarter, but by then Coach Craig Bennett had pulled his starters and was deep into his bench.
