Knights Start Slow Before Beating Titans, 65-57, in Milton Homestand

St. Francis sent to the line repeatedly as Towers High tries to spark a comeback in the fourth

St. Francis High's boys basketball team looked like it was in trouble through the first period in a game against Towers High on Feb. 11, trailing 20-25. But the Knights got their game plan working, taking the lead by the third and never surrendering it to win 69-57.

Senior Mike Turner and junior Nigel Jackson both had 16 points, with Turner putting up more from the outside and Jackson controlling the interior. Turner's points included a trio of three-pointers that helped the Knights pull away. He shot three of four from the line and made two field goals. Also scoring in double digits were senior Jalen Simmons with 11 points and sophomore Isaiah Williams with 10. Simmons shot four field goals and was three of six from the foul line. Williams had one field goal, shot two for two on the line and had a pair of three pointers.
