JV Raiders Beat Centennial Knights on Home Court in Alpharetta High

The junior varsity basketball team cemented a second place seed in the upcoming tournament.

The Junior Varsity Mens Alpharetta Raiders (10-3 overall) beat the Centennial Knights (9-5 overall) on Tuesday at Alpharetta High School.

The JV Raiders came out victorious with a score of 54-50, but the game lead changed multiple times and it could have gone either way.

The Raider's Bryan Roberts led all scorers with 18 points, but this writer must mention the amazing first half contributions of Grant Davis. Rebounds, blocked shots, steals, layups – he did it all and his efforts made a difference in a game that was not decided until the last few seconds.

Afam Maduka of Alpharetta also contributed in the rebounding efforts on both ends.

Centennial gets credit for playing a great game and having a 100 percent free throw percentage–impressive no matter who you cheer for at the end of the day.

This game seals the Alpharetta Raiders Junior Varsity as the second seed in the upcoming tournament. Details on those games will be forthcoming this weekend – stay tuned.
