Due to the Bell Memorial Park expansion project kicking off in August, this season will be split between several locations; however, through agreements with other cities, counties, schools, parks and leagues HYA is able to offer the full range of leagues.
Specific field and park scheduling will depend on number of teams in each age group. Generally, though, age groups will play at:
- 4- to 8-year-old tee ball and coach pitch: Fowler and Midway parks, Forsyth County.
- 9 to 10 year olds: Hopewell Middle School, Milton.
- 11 to 12 and 13 to 15 year olds: Wills Park, Alpharetta.
Skill assessments for all age groups will be held on Saturday, Aug. 2 (rain out date Sunday, Aug. 3) at Bell Memorial Park, the last activity before it is closed for construction. Time and field assignment for each age group will be announced when registration closes.
HYA, which recently celebrated its 28th anniversary, is a non-profit organization that schedules and programs the baseball activities at Milton's Bell Memorial Park through a joint agreement with the city of Milton.
