Are you ready for another round of picks?

at Roswell: It may be payback time for the Milton Eagles against their biggest rival. Not only can Milton (3-6) make the playoffs with a win at Roswell this week, it can hand the Hornets their first 0-10 season in their 62-year history. But history hasn’t been on Milton’s side in this rivalry. The Eagles have won only four times in the last 25 meetings with Roswell and are just 21-34-1 all-time. We’re not saying Roswell will rise up and finally put a game together this Friday. The Hornets have burned this predictor before. Just don’t be surprised if history repeats itself. Milton 23, Roswell 21.

at North Forsyth: Region 6-AAAAA champ Alpharetta, winner of seven straight games, faces a 1-8 team that you might expect will be a pushover. But North Forsyth has been much more competitive as of late, and Alpharetta has shown a penchant for letting inferior teams play stay in it until pulling it out in the end. There’s no upset here, but there also may not be a blowout either. Alpharetta 30, North Forsyth 21.

Our Lady of Mercy at : The winner of this Region 5-A cross-over finale will finish the season with a winning record. King’s Ridge, playing in only its second full varsity season, can take an important step for the program in reaching 6-4.  It would mark a foundation on which to, considering the Tigers have been competitive in most of their games this season, especially in October. Our Lady of Mercy, 7-3 last year, has been playing well the second half of the season, too, winning three of its last four games. Give it up for the home team. King’s Ridge 24, Our Lady of Mercy 20.

St. Francis vs. Hapeville: St. Francis has posted a 1-2-1 record as a non-region team in Region 5-A. Hapeville is 0-3. Football 101 is nearly completed for the Knights. St. Francis 25, Hapeville 16.
