Good Football Weather Tonight in Alpharetta

Prep teams need to start or keep winning for a chance in the playoffs.

The temperature might be pleasantly warm now, but you'll be a bit chilled if you don't bring a sweatshirt or light jacket if you are going to a football game tonight.

The National Weather Service reports that the high at game time will be in the high 60s. But a few hours later once the sun has set, it'll be 10 degrees cooler. That's fine if you are out on the field playing, but sitting on concrete and metal bleachers is another matter.

So bring something to stay warm, or make the boosters happy and buy a sweatshirt with your team's logo on it. (But if it's an away game, better bring something from home because what do you think will happen if you have to buy a sweatshirt with the opposing team's logo and colors!)

There's no chance of rain, and the sky at worst will be a little hazy.

Roswell at : First-place Alpharetta (6-1, 3-0 Region 6-AAAAA) vs. last-place Roswell (0-6, 0-2). This shouldn’t be a contest, right? Well, maybe. Alpharetta has never beaten the Hornets — none of the previous five meetings have been closer than 11 points. Don’t you think somewhere along the line the Hornets are going to put a complete game together? Alpharetta 24, Roswell 17.

at Northview: A question that has crept up in the past couple of weeks is this: Can Northview make the playoffs? At least one team is going to be .500 or worse and The Eagles are a couple of missed PATs away from possibly being 2-0 in the region. Milton 21, Northview 20.

at Pinecrest Academy: This is a matchup of teams in the bottom half of the Region 5-A North standings.  King’s Ridge 20, Pinecrest 13.
