Flag Football, Cheerleading Registration Now Open

Milton's NFL Play 60 flag football and cheerleading summer and fall league will be presented by former pro running back Tim Lester.

Staff Report

Registration is now open for the city of Milton's NFL Play 60 flag football and cheer leading summer and fall league presented by former pro running back and Milton resident Tim Lester.

The third and fourth grade league, which begins July 23 and lasts until Nov. 22, will be held Mondays and Wednesdays at Birmingham Falls Elementary School. The school sits at 14865 Birmingham Highway in Milton.

Residents can register children by visiting www.timlester.org or via the city's Online Activity Guide.

Every participant of NFL flag football enjoys playing in an "organized, team environment with the safety benefits of participating in a non-contact sport," the city said in a press release. Head coaches and trained officials will be present at all games and practices to enforce safe play.

Milton cheerleading — for children ages 5-13 — is for "those who enjoy being part of a team, want to build their self-confidence, activity level and, most importantly, want to have fun and foster lifelong friendships," the city added.
