The Alpharetta Youth Hockey Booster Club will be at the Alpharetta park to collect names for those people interested in Spring & Summer Alpharetta Youth Hockey Booster Club Programs.
The roller hockey supporters were given a year by the Alpharetta Recreation Commission to develop their booster program to help support the park.
The Recreation Commission and the city's Department of Engineering & Public Works had proposed converting the covered rink and a large portion of the park into storage for the department. The need to truck sand and other suplies to deal with snow and ice on Alpharetta's road during January 2011 helped make the solution seem ideal. The rest of the park was being considered as a greenway trail connection point, as it's close to the Forsyth County border and its greenway trail.
