Cambridge Lady Bears Win Region Championship
The team heads into next week's state playoffs as the top seed in only its first year of play.
The Cambridge Lady Bears Tennis team finished the region schedule at the pinnacle by defeating the Northview Titans to win the 7-AAAAA Region Championship, according to the Cambridge High School website.
All five lines played competitive matches and, in the end, Cambridge was able to win three matches to clinch the region title.Â
"This is is a terrific achievement that caps an outstanding regular season for the first year Lady Bears Tennis program," the website states.
Now, the team sets its sights on higher goals as the No. 1 region seed into the state playoffs starting next week.
