Lassiter pushed back to within field-goal range and with 3.5 seconds left in regulation. Perhaps the three timeouts the Raiders used iced the kicker, but he missed and it was time for OT.

Lassiter took possession first in the overtime. The ball was placed on the 15, as GHSA rules state for overtime. The Trojans managed a touchdown pass, and then the PAT kick.

Alpharetta needed fewer plays to punch it in for a touchdown when it was its turn. But Lassiter managed to block the kick, and the season came to an end for the Raiders.

Alpharetta had scored in the first quarter with a field goal, making it 3-0.

Jalen Simmons took the pigskin into the end zone with 8:12 left in the second quarter to put the Raiders farther ahead, 10-0.

It wasn't until 5:42 left in the half that Lassiter scored, but a TD pass in the corner of the end zone brought the Trojans within a field goal of the Raiders, once the PAT kick split the uprights.

Nobody scored again until 3:35 left in the fourth quarter, when the Trojans tied it up with a field goal.

The Raiders punted with about 1:48 left after their drive stalled. And the Trojans brought it downfield, but their field goal was short and wide, sending the game into overtime.
