Alpharettan Makes 8 Saves in Georgia State's 3-2 Victory overy FIU

Cochran records another win in his thrid start on the soccer field.

Redshirt freshman C.J. Cochran of Alpharetta made eight saves in his third start to help the men’s soccer team beat Florida International University Sunday afternoon, Sept. 18.

GSU moved to 5-1-1, its best start since the 2003 season, with a 3-2 victory over FIU Sunday afternoon at Panthersville, according to Randy Lieberman, graduate assistant-Sports Communications at GSU.

Goals from sophomore Peter Vania, redshirt senior Ayokunle Lumpkin and the game winner from junior Yasser Majluf led the Panthers over FIU (3-3-2). Georgia State now hasn’t dropped a decision in five-consecutive matches.
