Alpharetta Scores a Comeback Win Against Chattahoochee

Outfielder Evan Troutt's stellar three-for-four night propelled to the 9-3 over the Cougars on Friday night.

started the scoring with a two-out single by catcher Grant Wruble. followed by a run scoring single by centerfielder Zweber in the top of the first.

Alpharetta came back with a run in the bottom half of the inning with a HBP to shortstop Tyler Agard, followed by an RBI double by Troutt to tie the game.

The Raiders went ahead in the bottom of the third with a second hit battsman to Agard followed by an RBI single by catcher Derek Long.

Chattahoochee tied the game with Wruble's second single, and an error allowed him to advance to third. A run producing single by pitcher Mitch King in the fourth inning completed the tie.

Shortstop Zach Huet started the fifth inning off with a six pitch walk and was sacrificed to second by third baseman Jordan Einstein. He then scored on a long RBI triple by Brandon Cook.

The Raiders started their comeback after Valdosta State bound Mitch King was relieved in the bottom of the sixth. The comeback started with a HBP by Adam Schildhammer, followed by three walks and an error by the Cougars.

Evan Troutt's two-run double was followed by an RBI fly out by Long concluded the scoring by the Raiders.

Pitcher Josh Dobbs held the Cougars scoreless in the top half of seventh while striking out two batters.  Alpharetta's second pitcher of the night, Austin Holtzer was credited with his first win of the season.

The Raiders are 2-0 and traveled to South Paulding for a Saturday afternoon game today, Feb. 25.
