Alpharetta Opens Youth Soccer, Lacrosse Registration

Priority registration for Alpharetta and returning Milton residents for youth soccer and lacrosse programs started on Tuesday.

The Alpharetta Recreation and Parks Department kicked off priority registration for its youth soccer and lacrosse programs on July 8. This registration is open to all Alpharetta and returning Milton residents.  

Registration for Milton residents who are new to these programs will start on Tuesday, July 15. Open Registration begins Tuesday, July 22.

Age groups and fees vary for these programs. 

Volunteer coaching opportunities may be available to qualified adults. All potential coaching candidates must successfully complete the city’s criminal background check. Candidates are screened to ensure adequate knowledge in the sport in which they are applying to coach. Training opportunities may also be available.

The city’s partner youth athletic associations are also taking registration for fall athletics: Alpharetta Youth Football Association, Alpharetta Youth Softball Association and Alpharetta Youth Baseball Association. 

Providing a safe and fun environment for kids to develop both on and off the field, AYFA offers tackle football, flag football and cheerleading programs for students in kindergarten through 8th grade. AYSA is now taking registration for fall girls softball for ages 4 to 18 years. New this season is an increase of the multi-child discount to $25. Registration closes August 14. Walk-up registrations will be accepted at the evaluations on August 16. For more details, please visit www.alpharettasoftball.com

AYBA will once again offer fall baseball for players age 4 to 18 years. Registration for fall ball opens July 14, with practices beginning September 2.  For more details, please visit the AYBA website www.wpyba.org.
