Alpharetta High's Wagner Plays in All Star Game Sunday Night

The linebacker was named to the GHSA Region 6 6 5AAAA First Team Defense.

Alpharetta's Michael Wagner has one last high school football game to play before he puts away his cleats for the season. The senior linebacker for the Raiders plays tonight in the Georgia High School Senior All Star game in the Georgia Dome.

The Senior All-Star Bowl represents the top 100 Atlanta Metro High School
seniors from all school divisions playing football at the Georgia Dome.
There are two teams representing Atlanta Metro High Schools: East Metro
Atlanta vs  West Metro Atlanta.  East Metro Team (Dekalb, Henry, Newton,
Rockdale and Walton County Schools).  West Metro Team (Atlanta Public
Schools, Clayton, Douglas, Fayette and Fulton County Schools).  This event
has been designed to give High School Senior Athletes a chance to compete
with the best of the best from Metro Atlanta with no divisional lines.

Wagner was one of the defensive captains of his football team helping his team win their first Regional Championship.
Wagner has received awards that include:
2011 All-North Fulton Team First Team Defense
2011 GHSA Region 6 5AAAAA First Team Defense Linebacker
2011 Outstanding Defensive Player of the Year for Alpharetta High School
