Alpharetta Girls Dominate Collins Hill in Lacrosse Playoffs
Game delayed by lightning in second half.
In weather which at times resembled a torrential monsoon, the Alpharetta Lady Raiders lacrosse team hosted the Collins Hill Eagles in a first round GHSA playoff game on Tuesday.
Collins Hill opened the scoring, taking a 1-0 lead at the 24:12 mark of the first half, but it was the last time that the Eagles would hold the lead.Β Alpharetta answered with three quick goals of their own.
The Eagles managed to draw even with the Raiders at 3-3 with 13:38 remaining in the first half.

The Raiders then went on a scoring roll ending the first half with a 15-5 lead over Collins Hill.
Alpharetta scored a single goal to take a 16-5 lead in the second half before play was halted due to lightning with a little more than ten minutes remaining in the game.

When the game was suspended, Alpharetta's Blair Roman led all scorers with five goals. The Raiders Shawna Bergevin had four goals and Brittany Johnson had scored three times.
