Alpharetta Ambush Academy Cup Brings Hundreds of Kids to Parks

The two-day soccer tournament opens in Alpharetta today.

The 2013 Alpharetta Ambush Academy Cup opens today in Alpharetta, with approximately 70 teams in levels U9-U12 for boys and girls visiting fields across the city for the two-day tournament.

The Ambush Academy Cup is planned to be an annual event each February that "signals the end of winter and the beginning of another exciting spring season," according to the tournament website.

Games will be played in Alpharetta at three venues:

Alpharetta North Park, 13450 Cogburn Rd., Alpharetta, GA 30004

Kings Ridge Christian School, 2765 Bethany Bend, Alpharetta, GA 30004 (Football Stadium)

Field turf and natural grass fields will be utilized for the tournament.
