Students have made a $20 donation to participate in a day of serving the community, marking the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday with service. More than 100 middle and high school students are expected to participate.

School chapters are set up in high schools to recruit and engage students to serve at local projects, to raise awareness about social injustices, and have “in house” projects to support work with community partners. Each chapter has a teacher sponsor, a chapter coordinator, and student leaders that oversee the chapter at each school.
