School Buses to Clog Alpharetta Traffic Thursday

Bringing all the buses to Alpharetta at the end of the school year will crowd local roads.

Motorists on Ga 9, Maxwell and Hembree roads will be seeing a lot of yellow on Thursday afternoon, and it will disrupt traffic. Approximately 500 school buses will arrive in Alpharetta as the Fulton School System year comes to an end.

Alpharetta residents and motorists are advised to expect traffic delays along those three roads on Thursday afternoon between 3 and 6 p.m., said James Drinkard, Alpharetta's assistant city administrator. The school buses will be parked at the Fulton County School System’s North Transportation Facility at 410 South Main Street.

Thursday is the final day of school for Fulton County public schools.
