Cambridge High School held its Fundraising Golf Tournament and Gala, raising funds for the new school.
The Gala & Silent Auction was held on Saturday, March 17 at , with the tournament following on Monday, March 19.
Julie Martin wrote before the gala that green was the color of the evening for the Cambridge High School Gala & Auction, organized to raise funds for Milton’s newest high school. Proceeds will go towards the purchase of needed ‘start-up’ items such as lab equipment, athletic gear and stadium flags.
Held appropriately on St. Patrick’s Day at The Manor Golf and Country Club Clubhouse, guests were instructed to "Wear your green and bring your green," Martin said in an article she wrote about the event.
With more than 300 people scheduled to attend, Tiffany Fleming and Dawn Johnson, co-chairs for the event, said as the gala hour approached on Saturday, “We are excited and amazed at how our community has come together to support our new high school. We want to thank everyone for their hard work and support.”
Martin said offerings at the silent and live auction did not disappoint: South African photo safari for Two, Masters tickets for 2013, Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre tickets and four reserved seats to the Cambridge High ribbon cutting, just to name a few. The after party included music by Red Head Blonde, a local band composed of future CHS dads.
