CBS Atlanta News story states a Fulton Schools' report documents alleged abuse not reported until years later.

A former Hopewell Middle School student suffered alleged physical and mental abuse while attending the school, according to a CBSAtlanta story.

According to a Fulton County Schools report obtained by CBS Atlanta News, the student was physically and verbally abused by his special education teacher between 2004 and 2007. And the report alleges at least five other special education students also were abused by this teacher, who denies any wrongdoing.

The report states teachers and staff members indicated they reported the abuse cases to the school's former principal, but no one contacted law enforcement authorities until years later.
