Tresa Cheatham will replace Jasmine Kullar as the assistant principal of Birmingham Falls Elementary as of Aug. 1.

"Tresa received her Bachelor's and Master's degree in special education and leadership endorsement at the Master's level and specialist level from Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville, Georgia. Dr. Cheatham recently received her Ph.D. in educational leadership from Mercer University, Mazkin said.

When Cheatham is not teaching, she enjoys the company of her husband, Sharif, and her daughters Chan, Aliyah, and Leia. She also enjoys reading and decorating.
Her new boss seems excited to have her come on board.
"She comes to us with a strong experience base and I have heard wonderful things about her," Mazkin said.
