Brenau Students Named to Dean's, Merit Lists

Milton and Alpharetta students were named to the Dean's List at Brenau University for their academic performance during the fall term of the 2011-12 academic year.

Mary Elizabeth Donovan Steinhaus from Milton is a sophomore at Brenau. Steinhaus's major is theater arts with a musical theater emphasis.

Kristen Anna McVey from Alpharetta is a freshman at Brenau. McVey's major is music education.

Students named to the Merit List at Brenau University for outstanding academic performance during the fall term of the 2011-12 academic year.

Christina Marie Noyes from Alpharetta is a senior at Brenau. Noyes's major is middle grades education.

Marianne Kiran Sapra from Alpharetta is a senior at Brenau. Sapra's major is liberal arts.

Milton Student Earns Spot on Loyola Marymount Dean's List

Jessie Black of Milton earned a spot on the Loyola Marymount University Dean's List for the Fall 2011 semester.

Students named to the Dean's list have completed 15 semester hours at LMU and earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better. Additionally, a student must have completed all of his or her courses and never received an F in any course.

Located between the Pacific Ocean and downtown Los Angeles, Loyola Marymount University is a comprehensive university offering 56 major programs, 38 master's degrees and a doctoral degree in education from four colleges, two schools and Loyola Law School.

Musicians Earn Placement on Berklee Dean's List

Three Alpharetta students earned placement on the Berklee College of Music Dean's List for the fall semester of the 2011 academic year. To be eligible for this honor, a full-time student must achieve a grade point average of 3.4 or above; a part-time student must achieve a grade point average of 3.6 or above.

The Berklee curriculum focuses on practical career preparation for today's music industry. Four-year degrees are offered in Performance, Jazz Composition, Music Production & Engineering, Film Scoring, Music Business/Management, Composition, Music Synthesis, Contemporary Writing & Production, Music Education, Songwriting, Music Therapy, and Professional Music.

Bryant Earns Way on Piedmont AD's Academic Honor Roll

Colton Bryant of Alpharetta was among the 108 student athletes at Piedmont College named to the Fall 2011 Athletic Director's Academic Honor Roll. The honor was awarded to students who maintained at least a 3.4 overall GPA during the fall semester while competing in the 14 intercollegiate sports.

Bryant participates in baseball at Piedmont College.
