Milton Swim Teams Compete for State Honors

The high school boys team finished third and the girls 16th, with several swimmers taking individual honors.

The Swim Team competed at the state competition this weekend at Georgia Tech, with the boys finishing sixth and the girls 16th, according to Athletic Director Craig Bennett. 

Sam Lewis placed first in the state in the 100 Back (Automatic All-American) and second in the 100 Fly (Automatic All-American).

Katie Grover (10th Grade) placed first in the 100 Free (All-American Consideration) and third in the 100 Back (All-American Consideration).

Sam Lewis, Griffen Garratt, Johnny Dodero, and Eric Wan placed third in the 200 Medley Relay and qualified for All-American Consideration.

Everett Hyatt, Sam Lewis, Johnny Dodero, and Eric Wan finished fourth in the 400 Free Relay and qualified for All-American Consideration.

Eric Wan placed ninth in the 200 IM and 10th in the 100 Breast.

Everett Hyatt placed 15th in the 50 Free.

Everett Hyatt, Griffen Garratt, Bogdan Cioanta, and Alex Marshall placed 13th in the 200 Free Relay.

Cariline Filan, Colleen Garrigan, Gabrielle Pick and Katie Grover placed 12th in the 400 Free Relay.
