Milton's Mini Musicians Put on Show at Bethwell Community Center
The young children share their developing musical skills with their parents.
The venue was small and cozy, and the audience was almost entirely parents. But that didn't seem to lessen the excitement the performers had as the Mini Musicians Fall Class at Bethwell Community Center presented their final share at the end of the 12-week class.
The 3-5 year olds were introduced to music in what Karen Cornell of Sperber Music said is a fun and innovative way. Her program features musical games, circle dances, passing games, puppets, musicial instruments, poetry/rhymes and children's literature.
Watch the children perform and hear from the class instructor about the class in the accompanying videos.

The intent is for children to developer a sense of timing and coordiation. The class also should help them improve skills in listening, pitch matching and tone quality, according to Sperber's website.
While this class is ending, the Mini Musicians Winter class is just a few weeks away. Cornell was taking payments from some of the parents whose children were in the Fall class. The class is limited to 10 students, but she said if the itnerest is greater she will hold a second class immediately after the first class on Thursdays.
