Milton High Grad Picked as UGA Amazing Student
JoyEllen Freeman has been a Curo Scholar and participated in the 2011 Student Freedom Ride, one of 40 students picked nationwide.
JoyEllen Freeman left for the University of Georgia just a few years ago, and now she continues to add to her honors.
"Milton High is very proud to have a 2009 graduate, JoyEllen Freeman, featured in UGA’s Amazing Students," Milton Principal Clifford Jones said via email today.
Freeman has been researching civil rights and now mentors first- and second-year students at UGA.

She was one of 40 students selected to participate in the 2011 Student Freedom Rider, a civil rights history bus tour sponsored by PBS's American Experience history series.
