Columbus State Reveals its Dean's List

The following local students, listed with their degree programs, are on the Dean's List at Columbus State University by completing the spring 2012 semester with at least 12 credit hours and a 3.6 or higher GPA:

Miami Announces Top Academic Performers

Miami University students who achieved a 3.5 or better grade point average for second semester 2011-2012 have been named to the dean's list recognizing academic performance.

Cornell Puts Aribindi, Lee on Dean's List

The following local residents have been named to the Cornell University College of Arts and Sciences' Dean's List for Spring Semester 2012:

Swetha Aribindi, a resident of Alpharetta.

Bo Mi Lee, a resident of Alpharetta.

Washington University Names Chew to Dean's List

Katherine Chew of Alpharetta (30022), was named to the Dean's List for the spring 2012 semester at Washington University in St. Louis. Chew graduated May 18 from the university's College of Arts & Sciences.

To qualify for the Dean's List in the College of Arts & Sciences, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.6 or above and be enrolled in at least 14 graded units.

Nursing Major on Villanova's Dean's List

Samantha Scordino, from Johns Creek, was named to the Dean's List at Villanova University for the 2011-2012 academic year. Scordino is pursuing a bachelor's degree in the College of Nursing.

Villanova University Dean's List recipients are honored by their college's respective dean. To qualify, one must be a matriculated full-time student and earn a semester grade point average of at least 3.5.The College of Nursing requires students to earn at least a 3.5 for the academic year.

Morcos Named to Clearwater Christian Dean's List

Junior Amani Morcos of Alpharetta received the Dean's List Award at Clearwater Christian College for scholastic achievement during the 2012 spring semester. In order to be recognized for this award, honorees are required to earn a GPA between 3.50 and 3.90 on a 4.00 scale.

Morcos, majoring in Elementary Education at CCC, is a graduate of Fellowship Christian School in Roswell and is the daughter of Sami and Laura Morcos of Alpharetta.

Joseph on Geneva College Dean's List

Ethan Joseph of Alpharetta has been named to the Dean's List for the 2011-12 spring semester at Geneva College. Dean's List status is awarded to students who earn a 3.6 grade point average or better.

Ethan is a junior Biology major.
