King's Ridge Plans High School Building

Christian school starts capital campaign in January 2011 for first phase of building set to open in 2013.

King's Ridge Christian School announced on Dec. 10 plans to start building its high school complex on its campus off Bethany Bend.

The school's board of trustees made the announcement  through a news release that the first phase of the high school will open in fall 2013. The building will be built near the school's entrance roundabout off Bethany Bend, which is consistent with its existing campus plan.

"This will be another exciting milestone in the growth of our school, and our community is eager to come together to make the next step in our campus vision a reality," Board Chair Anne Marie Carlisi said in that news release.

The 40,000-45,000 square foot building will provide space for 275 to 300 high school students. Community space within the building will provide faculty and staff space to convene. A directed technology plan will be incorporated into the building,

In January 2011 King's Ridge will begin a three-year capital campaign to fund this first phase of construction, King's Ridge reported. The high school complex will be the third permanent building on the campus, joining the Barbara Adler Academic Center and the Student Center. An athletic field with lighting, synthetic turf, seating for more than 600 people and a new press box and concession house also are on campus grounds.
