King's Ridge Students Promote Whirled Peace

The local school held a ceremony for Pinwheels for Peace.

Students at King's Ridge Christian School made Pinwheels for Peace, "planting" pinwheels with message of peace in front of the Barbara Adler Academic Center on Sept. 21.

The students started the program with prayer around the flagpole before the planting was held.

Students created pinwheels, pinwheels of all shapes and size, and as part of the creation process, they wrote their thoughts about "war and peace / tolerance/ living in harmony with others" on one side. On the other side, they created art with drawings, paint, collages or other forms to visually express their feelings.
