Some high school students from will be taking a cruise in early June, but don't call it a vacation. They'll be performing at sea.

The King's Ridge High Performing Arts program has been selected by Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines to perform on their ship, Monarch of the Seas. Students will perform at sea on the 4-night Bahamas cruise on June 4-8. Students will perform the following numbers:

  • "America"
  • "I Feel Pretty"
  • "Ain't nothing Like a Dame"
  • "Life is a Holiday"
  • "If You can Dream"

"Students were chosen from a video that was sent of our high school production, 'Millie'," said King's Ridge spokesperson Shuntel Beach. The students will be attending a dress rehearsal of performers on the ship as part of an educational seminar.

Visit the school's website for additional information on this non-denominational PreK- 12th grade program, or call 770-754-5738.
