Fulton Science Academy Heading to State Tech Fair

Alpharetta school takes regional win for third straight year

The Tech Fair team for Fulton Science Academy in Alpharetta once again was the best performing school in Regional Technology Fair Competition last Saturday, Principal Namik Sercan said.

For the third year the team achieved this success, and will represent the school and Fulton County at the State Technology Fair Competition on March 12.

Sercan said the team earned 29 placements in different categories. Sixteen students were in first place, seven in second and six students earned third place awards.

Individual and Team Programming Challenge: David Purcell                

Multimedia Applications: Aria Mandani, Juan Sepulveda, Betul Benzer;               

Non-Multimedia Applications: Aliye Karakoyun, Zoya Mahmood, Busra Uduk, Tarik Uduk ;

2nd place winners:

Digital Video Editing: Tim Riordan, Sarah Wade;

Animated Graphic Design: James Morgan;         

Non-Animated Graphic Design: Jack Joiner;               

3-D Modeling: Jake Demaso

Project Programming: Brennen Bukovics;

Robotics: Delbert Wan.

3rd place winners:

Digital Video Editing: Sunny Ballari, Varun Ballari;

Graphic Design 3-D Modeling: John Moses;        

Individual and Team Programming Challenge: Reid Kersey;

Internet Application: Vlad Kryvor;       

Multimedia Application: Elif Er.
