Fulton Schools System Plans to Spend $2.2M on Haynes Bridge Middle

If the school board approves a bid, renovations will be scheduled during the summer break from classes using SPLOST IV funds.

The Fulton County School System plans to spend almost $2.2 million for renovations at Haynes Bridge Middle School, with work intended to start in May 2014 and be completed in July 2014.

This project is included in the SPLOST IV Program and consists of:

  • Window and door replacements,
  • Painting,
  • New ceiling finishes,
  • New classroom casework,
  • Serving line renovations,
  • Student restroom renovations. 

The project also includes site improvements and electrical system improvements throughout the school.

The Fulton County Board of Education will be asked today to approve the recommended bid by Amacher Brothers Construction.

 The Fulton County Board of Education will meet today, Jan. 23 at Dunwoody Springs Elementary School, located at 8100 Roberts Drive in Sandy Springs.

The school board will convene at 4:30 p.m. and immediately move to executive session. At 6 p.m., the meeting will reconvene in public for a recognitions ceremony followed by a public comment session.

All topics up for approval are posted on BoardDocs, an online program that makes the school board agenda and all supporting documents available online. The meeting’s business agenda will begin immediately after the public comment session.

School board meetings can be watched live from a computer, and audio/video recordings of the meetings are archived to the videostreaming website within 48 hours of the meeting.
