Fulton Schools Release New Redistricting Plan for Bethany Bend High Opening

The Fulton Schools System has released its draft plan to redistrict high school and middle schools throughout North Fulton, a day before the final public input meeting.

While this hybrid plan, as Operational Planning director Yngrid Huff called it at the last meeting, does not match any of the proposed plans, it is closest to alternative C.

The public can attend the third and final redistricting meeting at at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, to make comment on this draft plan.

The draft plan impacts the following high schools: Alpharetta, Johns Creek, Milton, Northview and Roswell.

The new high school on Bethany Bend would take students from:

Milton HS to Bethany Bend HS Site

• All the area within the Birmingham Falls ES including Triple Crown, Taylor Glen, White Columns, Nettlebrook Farms, Tullamore, Highland Manor and Sable Pointe
• With the exception of Redd Rd, the area within the Summit Hill ES zone along and northeast of Hopewell Rd including Brookshade, Bethany Oaks, Crabapple Forest, Potterstone, Champions View, Shadowood Farms, Manor Bridge Drive and Plantation Trace
• All the area along and east of Bethany Rd and Haygood Rd north of Providence Rd including The Lake at Cooper’s Andy
• All the area within the Cogburn Woods ES zone, including Gatewood, Coventry, Rhodes Plantation, The Hermitage, Sandy Creek Farms, Five Acre Estates and Crooked Creek

Alpharetta HS to Bethany Bend HS Site

• All the area within the Cogburn Woods ES zone, including Summit Deer Creek, Avensong, Fairmont, Bethany Creek, Belleterre, Bellemeade Farms, Lake Laurel and Wyndham
• Students from the Roswell High attendance zone who would shift into a Milton High attendance zone and attend that school include:
• All the area east of Etris Rd including but not limited to Edenwilde and Summerhill Farms
• All areas north of Hembree Rd and east of Crabapple Road including but not limited to Orchard Trace, Crabapple Walk, Crabapple Parc, Crabapple Lake, Saddle Creek, Hembree Farms, The Gables and Taylor Oaks
• All areas north of Mansell Rd and east of Houze Rd including but not limited to Hawkins Cove, Hembree Grove, Hembree Springs Drive, Creekside at Mansell, Arbor Creek, Rosemont, Old Ellis Point and Old Roswell Corners Plantation, The Hermitage, Sandy Creek Farms, Five Acre Estates and Crooked Creek

Shifting from Johns Creek High to Northview High would be all the students within the area in the Wilson Creek Elementary School zone, including St. Ives and Myers Park.
