Fulton Schools Posts Bethany Bend School Redistricting Map Proposals

Check out school system planning staff's alternatives for new attendance zones in North Fulton before tonight's meeting.

Tonight's redistricting meeting for the new high school under construction on Bethany Bend is expected to be so crowded that Fulton Schools officials are asking residents to carpool.

You can get a sneak peek at the alternative maps the Operational Planning Department has created based on population, geography, traffic and other specific critieria under which the say they must operate. The maps also are posted with this story.

The meeting will be at 7 p.m. at .

School system staff again will facilitate discussions, this time to get input on these specific alternatives. From this, staff will revise and redraw attendance zones. Residents have been advised to keep following the process, as what is proposed at the next meeting on April 13 may not resemble today's maps.
