The new middle school building additions are being funded by the district's eSPLOST, its one-penny educational sales tax.

Schools impacted by the additions are Autrey Mill, Hopewell, Sandy Springs and Taylor Road middle schools. The additions are slated to open in August 2015, and will alleviate overcrowding at the schools.
